What this policy covers
This policy explains how Zipy.cc handles information when you use our website, create an account, manage links and pages, use the API, or visit content hosted through Zipy. It also explains the choices available to you. Account holders who publish pages, add tracking pixels or collect information through their own content are responsible for their own notices and permissions.
Information and its purpose
- Account information: your name, email address, password hash and account settings are used to create your account, authenticate access, recover access and provide the service.
- Content and configuration: destination URLs, custom link names, domains, projects, page blocks, uploaded files, QR-code settings and API activity are used to publish and manage the connections you create.
- Connection analytics: link visits may generate a visit timestamp, approximate country and city, device and browser information, browser language, referring website or path, campaign parameters and a unique-visit indicator. These support link performance reports and usage limits.
- Technical and security information: IP addresses, session identifiers and activity logs may be processed to deliver requests, estimate location, secure accounts, diagnose errors and address abuse. An IP-based location is an estimate, not a precise GPS location.
- Billing information: the plan, billing details you supply, payment status and transaction references are used to manage purchases, subscriptions, invoices and applicable accounting obligations. Payment providers process payment credentials under their own policies.
- Support communications: the name, email, subject and message you submit are used to respond and investigate your request.
Do not include unnecessary sensitive information in destination URLs, page content, query parameters or support requests. Information placed in a public URL may be visible to its recipients and destination websites.
Destination sites and embedded services
Clicking a link or scanning a QR code can send you to a third-party destination. That destination receives your request and may collect information independently. A page creator may add embedded media, scripts or tracking pixels that contact other providers. Review the destination's or page creator's privacy notice for those activities. This policy does not govern third-party websites.
Retention, storage and security
Information is retained as needed to operate accounts and published content, provide analytics, support users, handle billing, address abuse and meet applicable legal obligations. Retention can differ by record type, plan and account state. Removing active content or an account may not immediately remove copies from backups or records that must be retained for a legal or security purpose. Contact us for information about a particular record or request.
The service is hosted using external infrastructure and providers whose processing locations may differ from yours. This policy does not promise a particular data-residency region. Zipy uses HTTPS and password hashing, but no system can guarantee complete security. Protect your own credentials and notify us promptly if you suspect an issue.
Your choices and privacy requests
You can update account details and preferences, manage published content, and use available export or account-deletion controls in your workspace. To request access, correction, deletion, a copy of your information, withdrawal of consent where relevant, or to raise a privacy concern, use the contact page with the subject “Privacy request.” Identify the account email or affected URL and the action you request. We may need to verify your identity before releasing or changing account information. Do not send your password.
Your rights and any applicable limits depend on your location and the relevant law. You may also have a right to complain to an appropriate data-protection authority. Withdrawing information or consent necessary to provide a feature can mean that feature is no longer available. A request about information collected by a page creator may also need to be directed to that creator.
Children
Zipy is not intended for children who cannot legally consent to the service or enter into its terms. Do not create an account or publish children's personal information without any authorization required by applicable law. If you believe a child has supplied personal information improperly, contact us so that we can review it.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when our practices or service change. The current version and date will be published here. Material changes affecting account holders will be communicated through the service or account email where appropriate. For privacy questions, use the Zipy contact page and choose a clear subject such as “Privacy question.”
